Glass Dining Table - Maintenance and Care
A glass dining table can add lot of brightness in the dining room and can give your house an elegant look. When you use a glass top over the dining table, the whole room lightens up, thus generating a feeling of warmth.

However, you will need to take some precautions for it to last longer and also to retain its finishing as long as you are using the table. For this, you need to follow the following steps:
o Always use a better quality of glass cleaner to clean the glass table. Use a sponge or soft cotton cloth to clean the table.
o Your table will look old, if there are scratches on the table. Slight scratches on the glass table can be removed by using a buffing wheel.
o If there are marks on the glass table, you can use transparent nail enamel to fill in the cavities and hide the marks. However, very big marks can be treated only with the help of professionals.
o Small chips in the glass can be removed by rubbing in the chipped glass with emery paper and water. Move your hand in circular motion, applying slight pressure. Continue doing it as long as the scratch is visible. Later use a polish and a buffing pad to clean the glass.

To create an impressive look with your glass dining table, let the base of the table be artistic, for example, instead of selecting a normal base for the dining table, choose a motif or a statue of a dancing lady carved in stone, or if you want to choose a wooden base, then let the legs of the table be broad and have the shape of elephant feet. The transparent table top will show the exquisite design of the base, and will give the dining room an artistic touch.
