Before shopping mini laptops or the 3 quick tips:

1. Know your Total Price Range

This is a tough one. I mean we're all on a budget, right?

Mini laptops are affordable, but the extras kill. The cases, the backup hard drives, the screen protectors, even the warranties all are included in the final price.

These things could be another quick tip guide, but just remember Don't slack on the mini laptop you need to get all the extra stuff or you'll be sorry.

Especially the warranties, we've all heard the horror stories. "I went to the coffee shop & this guy accidentally dropped his coffee all over my new computer," or "The computer was in my bag & I guess when I threw my bag around, it must have damaged my computer."

Check on if the warranties cover the basic stuff: dropping& liquid damage. Then see what kind of replacement do they offer, cash back if it's beyond repair or to just replace the unit.

Mini-laptops are portable units that get treated pretty rough.

Just take into account the warranties when buying one.

2. How are you going online

This is what I hear a lot of..

"What good is a mini laptop without the internet?"

You gotta have internet? Right? Of course, now how?

Unless you live in one of the great Free wireless cities.You need a hot spot to get internet access, free or not..Cafes are great places to get wireless access, but make sure their certified. This ensures a stable and more secure connection.

Some places like Radio Shack are having specials like buy a data plan and get a mini laptop for $ 100 or less. Read the fine print & know that you get charged if you go over. Some poor woman bought one & found out that she was going to be charged over $6000 this month due to going over her limit. It's just like your cell phone. Watch the for going over & the contract agreements with fees

3. Get more help.

Read the reviews online. Amazon is the best place to get real reviews online. Find the top 5 customer rated and go from there.

You'll find that some mini laptops have weird things to them.

Such as smaller keyboards, extra bright screens, or some are actually just as big as normal laptops. By reading the reviews, you get the inside scoop on which ones actually work and why.

Get more help, wait didn't I already say that? Of course, here's the deal. Get as much information and tips as you can before purchasing anything. Returning something can be hard and you still need to buy a new one to replace it. Take you time and be well informed before buying.
