Watch Out To the Deadly Bedspread!
At first it sounded such as a fluke -- that a friend, in excellent health, had tripped over his bedspread and fallen, breaking a hip. Suddenly moving for the retirement center didn't sound so premature.

But in just a couple weeks, my own, personal mother-in-law tripped over her bedspread while making the bed. The fall caused a torn rotator cuff in their own shoulder, plus numerous bruises for my child head, arms or legs. While she did have got a walking cast in one leg hindering her, the force on the fall clearly shook her confidence.
I begun to wonder -- how often do bedspreads cause serious injuries in senior adults? I've tripped over my own, personal down comforter myself in the morning when it has slid partially off of the bed.
Certainly anyone, children or adult, could have a serious injury from tripping and falling, employing senior adults, in particular those with frail bones, the outcome could curtail their mobility permanently.

Even though my mother-in-law's lovely purple bedspread looks great in their own assisted family area, I think it's had reached go -- it's cost her a lot of. With her diabetes, low vision and cardiovascular illnesses, the last thing she needs is it being unable to walk because of falling in the bedspread.
